Terms of Use
The terms under which you may use hecsdebtcalculator.com.au. Last updated: 18 April 2026.
1. Not financial advice
Every calculator, guide and FAQ on this site is for general informational purposes only. Nothing here constitutes personal financial, tax or legal advice. HECS-HELP rules interact with your total income, super arrangements, deductions, residency, family structure and employment situation — we cannot account for any of these.
Before acting on anything you read here, consult a registered tax agent (TPB-registered) or an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder.
2. Accuracy
We take reasonable care to keep the calculators aligned with current Australian Taxation Office rates, thresholds and methodology. We do not warrant that the numbers are free from error. Tax law changes; legislation is sometimes retrospective. If you identify an inaccuracy, please let us know.
All figures are in Australian dollars. All references to "HECS" include HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, OS-HELP, SA-HELP, STARTUP-HELP and VET Student Loans unless otherwise stated.
3. Use of calculators
You may use the calculators on this site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, clone, embed or resell them without written permission. Commercial licensing inquiries — see the contact page.
4. Intellectual property
The site content — including calculator logic, written explanations, tables and layout — is copyright © 2026 hecsdebtcalculator.com.au unless attributed to a third party. Government data (ATO rates, ABS indices, legislation) is reproduced under applicable open-access licences.
5. Third-party links
We link to government and third-party resources (ATO, Study Assist, news sources). We are not responsible for third-party content and do not endorse any product, adviser or lender unless explicitly stated.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, the operators of hecsdebtcalculator.com.au are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to financial decisions based on calculator output. Your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
7. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute will be determined by the courts of the state or territory where the user resides in Australia.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance.
